Compatible with the FEI Vitrobot, these foam dewars from NanoSoft are a well-priced, robust dewar for cryo-EM sample preparation.
The design of the dewar has an improved interface, so the Igloo creates a better seal on the dewar containing cold nitrogen gas in the headspace above the dewar, allowing for safer grid transfer to a grid box.
The grid box ring is at the same height as the Vitrobot equivalent to ensure the grid boxes sit at the same depth into the dewar, but is slightly thicker and remains in contact with liquid nitrogen longer if the nitrogen level gets low.
